Recovery Orientated System of Care

Overview

The Scottish Government expects that each Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP) will establish and support a local Recovery Orientated System of Care.  This includes services commissioned by the ADP, as well as a range of other services providing support roles during the recovery process.  A ROSC is a system of services, supports and other resources in a community which provides for the range and stages of need people may have during the process of recovery from problems related to substance use.

Aim

This learning and development opportunity is targeted at practitioners whose role involves supporting people directly and indirectly affected by alcohol and other drug use.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Recognise their service's role and responsibility in a Recovery Orientated System of Care.

  • Evaluate how they are adapting to a Recovery Orientated Systems of Care in the care of people affected by alcohol and other drug use.
